Infusion Care

1

IV medications will not be prepared until you arrive at the clinic and the following are confirmed:

  • Applicable lab results have been reviewed.

  • Physician orders are approved

  • IV access has been successfully established.

This ensures your treatment is administered safely and precisely, based on your current clinical status.

Infusion Prep

2

If you are feeling unwell—especially if you have a fever of 100°F or higher—please notify your nurse or physician at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Your safety is our top priority. If you are sick, your treatment may be postponed at your physician’s discretion to ensure the best possible care.

— every step of the way!

For your comfort during treatment, please wear loose-fitting clothing. If you have a port, avoid high-neck shirts, and if you require an IV, steer clear of tight sleeves to allow easy access.

Comfortable clothing helps make your infusion session smoother and more relaxed.

Infusion Comfort

4

To ensure a calm and respectful environment for all, no visitors of any age are allowed in the infusion room at any time.

Please keep in mind that you are not the only patient receiving treatment, and we strive to maintain a space that supports everyone's safety, privacy, and comfort.

Infusion Privacy

5

To ensure the comfort of all patients, please avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, scented body lotions, or other strong fragrances during your visit.

Many patients receiving treatment may be sensitive to smells, and strong scents can cause nausea or discomfort. Thank you for helping us maintain a soothing and respectful environment.

If your treatment is lengthy or extends through lunchtime, you're welcome to bring snacks or a light meal to stay comfortable.

We kindly ask that you avoid foods with strong odors, as certain smells may cause discomfort or nausea for other patients receiving treatment nearby.

Infusion Snacks

7

For your safety, patients with IVs or ports must remain in the infusion room while receiving treatment. The only exception is for restroom use.

This helps us monitor your care closely and ensures a safe, controlled environment during your infusion session.

Infusion Stay

8

To maintain a calm and restful environment, cell phone use is not permitted in the infusion room.

Many patients use this time to relax, read, nap, or reflect, and we kindly ask that you be respectful of others’ need for peace and quiet during treatment.
